Irene L. Wolman (nee Schmidt)

May 15, 1917 - Dec. 10, 2007

Irene L. Wolman (nee Schmidt) of East Troy found peace Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at age 90. Irene was born May 15, 1917, the daughter of Andrew and Helen (nee Wencke) Schmidt.

She worked as a seamstress for Jack Winters, a sportswear manufacturer. On Sept. 5, 1942, she married John "Ted" Wolman. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage until Ted’s death in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John "Ted," and a daughter, Barbara Schluckebier.

She was the loving mother of John (Susan) Wolman of Watertown, James (Kathleen) Wolman of Mukwonago and Robert Schluckebier of Vernon; proud grandmother of Tracey Collins of Vernon, Troy (Joy) Schluckebier of Vernon, Jeffrey (Amy) Wolman of Belvidere, Ill., Jamie (Brenda) Wolman of Hartford, Joel (Wendy) Wolman of Sugar Creek, Tammy (Jonas) Berberich of Janesville and Kelly (fiance Adam Landwehr) Wolman of Wauwatosa; and great-grandmother of Taylor, Benjamin, Blake, Justin, Jared, Aaron, Asher, Addison, Elizabeth, Emma, Kylie, Brayden and Noah. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday, Dec. 14, at St. James Catholic Parish, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
