Bowler gets first 300

MUKWONAGO - Rusty Konitzer bowled his first career 300 game in the middle of a 704 series in Jay's Major League.

Jeff Adler fell nine pins short of the 800-mark in the same league as he rolled games of 289, 247 and 255 for a 791 series.


Alt helps team win

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Waukesha Al Alt went 4-for-4 and pitched eight innngs to help the Los Angeles Athletics beat the Kansas City Cubs 14-5 in the Men's Senior Baseball World Series on Wednesday.

John Arnold from the town of Lisbon had an RBI single for the Athletics, who are 4-1 after losing earlier in the day to the California Tribe 10-1.


Carroll v-ball team wins

WAUKESHA - The Carroll University women's volleyball team defeated Lawrence 25-22, 22-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-11 in a Midwest Conference match Tuesday.

Freshman Melanie Schloesser from Jefferson led the Pioneers with 40 assists, and freshman Heather Kulibert from Auburndale finished with 11 kills.

Carroll improved to 11-16 overall and 3-6 in conference.
