about train whistles
Federal rules set the tone for ‘intrusive’ blasts

A southbound freight train heads for the Waukesha city limits Monday. Facing complaints from numerous residents about letting the city’s quiet zone status lapse, Waukesha leaders have lodged a complaint with federal authorities while also working to silence the train whistles.
